Aspiro Therapeutics and University of Arizona Awarded Follow-On Funding from the Flinn Foundation

Tucson, AZ / January 13, 2025 – Aspiro Therapeutics, in collaboration with the University of Arizona, is honored to announce it has been awarded follow-on funding through the Flinn Foundation Seed Grants to Promote Translational Research program. This additional $100,000 funding underscores the team’s continued progress in developing innovative therapies for obstructive lung diseases.

The follow-on funding, issued to Dr. Julie Ledford as the Principal Investigator, will support crucial next steps in the development of Aspiro’s groundbreaking therapy based on CC16, a natural lung protein with protective properties. The funding will specifically enable the team to conduct an aerosol feasibility study, taking a key step in bringing this novel therapy closer to clinical application.
